NSW/ACT DuO 2012/13 Update
Tuesday, 2 October 2012
With still over four weeks before our first event we have had a good start with entries for both events this year. Entries are now open online on the DuO site and we have advertised the series widely on sporting websites. A big thanks to Maximum Adventure for sending out details on their newsletter as well. The courses are almost complete for the first two events with each area providing a unique experience over widely changing terrain.
The taster course at Hawkemount is going to be a great intro with some great riding for novices and children with a few small navigation changes thrown in. The Hawkemount start area is easy to get to off the freeway and there is a good clean and shady area for competitors and families to relax after the event and enjoy a sausage sizzle.
The Bluegums course will be run on new bush and park maps as well as a great MTB area which few outsiders have ventured into. National Parks have been very helpfull in allowing us to use their facilities and bush/parklands. The Park is located just off the freeway, Link Rd exit to Newcastle then down to Minmi!
To top things off, all entries to the event over the four rounds will go into the draw for a Trek Cobia 29er MTB. A big thanks to our sponsors Active Cycles and Trek Australia.
Get your entries in and don't miss out on the action over the summer months!
