DESCRIPTION:\n Date:\n20 December 2009 \n\n Start Times: \n8.00am - 9.00am \n\n Map: \nWallaroo\n\n Directions: \nTravel north along the Pacific Highway from Hexham.  After 15km turn left onto Nine Mile Creek Road.  This turn is approx 1.5km after Italia Road and 200m before the Medowie Road turnoff.  Continue to the start area directly behind the 10 Mile rest area.\n\n Format:\nThe courses will be 75 minute score courses. \nCompetitors will receive their map 3 minutes before their start time. \nControls will be worth either 1, 2 or 3 points as indicated by the first digit in the control code (eg Control 3A would be worth 3 points).\nLate penalties of minus 1 point for every minute or part thereof late will apply, down to a score of 0.\nIf all controls have been visited then an early bonus of plus 1 point for every full minute early will apply.\n\n Scores for each event will be calculated as a percentage of the winners time.\n\n \nEntries:\nPre-enter by sending an email to Andrew Haigh (boss@haigh.id.au) or telephone (4959 8840) by 10pm on the Wednesday before the event.\n\n Cost:\n$5 for pre-entries by members of Newcastle Orienteering Club (or any other orienteering club)\n\n $7 for pre-entries by non-members\n\n Entries on the day will be available but premarked maps cannot be guaranteed. Cost $10. Start time priorities will be given to pre-entries.\n\n \nCourse Setter: \nGreg Bacon\n\n Series Format:\nThe series will consist of five (5) events.
