DESCRIPTION:\n \nThis area hosted the 2009 Australian Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships and will be a\ngreat chance to visit the fast riding terrain once again. The championships will also serve as a\ngreat warm up opportunity for the 2010 Australian MTBO Championships to be held the following weekend in central Victoria,\nwhich is only 4.5hrs drive from the day 2 area.  \n\n \nThe areas to be used in the competition are located within one hour’s drive from Mt Gambier.  The areas are undulating and have a dense network of vehicular tracks and 4wd tracks.  Single tracks connect between the main network of tracks.  Tracks are generally fast riding limestone based, although there are numerous variations in track speed due to moderate sand in many areas.\n\n \nFurther start times and directions to events will be released closer to the event.  The organiser recommends competitors stay in the region of Nelson or Mt Gambier.\n\n \nEntry Fees for each day: Junior $20; Senior $30; Family $80\n\n \nMore details and online entries\n\n------------------------------------------\nEvent contact details: Andrew Slattery\nView event online: http://mountaindevils.nsw.orienteering.socialfx.net/events/past_events/?EventID=1634\n
