We return to the South West
corner of the popular Currambene Forest, for Round 2 of the Super Series.
Expect some fast forest tracks (if dry!), lovely single track and not too many
steep hills.

Note: For those wishing a little exercise prior to
the MTBO, the local South Coast Mountain Bike Club are running a 3 person relay
race at the nearby Butterfly Road tracks in the same forest. Check out their

From Sydney - Drive south on F2. Continue past
Wollongong to Nowra. Travel through Nowra. Approximately 9km after
crossing the Shoalhaven River, turn left at Forest Road. Continue along
Forest Road (follow MTBO signs) for approx 500m until a right turn into
Currambene Forest on track going under power lines. Parking and Registration
will be immediately in front of you.
From Canberra - Drive northeast on Hume
Highway. Turn right onto Illawarra Highway and travel through Moss
Vale. Turn right onto Nowra Road, and travel through Kangaroo Valley.
Turn right onto Pacific Highway and travel through Nowra. Approximately
9km after crossing the Shoalhaven River, turn left at Forest Road.
Continue along Forest Road (follow MTBO signs).for approx 500m until a right
turn into Currambene Forest on track going under power lines. Parking and Registration will be immediately in front of you.
Facilities:
There will a ‘bush’ toilet provided at the parking
area but no water provided or of suitable drinking quality on the course.
Please ensure you have adequate food and water for the duration of the event.
Accommodation:
Refer to the
Glengarry Event details. The recommended group camp site is at Bendeela in
Kangaroo Valley. For those you wish to stay on-site we have in previous years
camped in the power line easement just up the hill from the parking area, no
facilities are provided.
